Radiographic Analysis

Obtaining high quality laser aligned films then allows for us to takea look at your unique spinal anatomy. No two spines are the same. Even within the same spine their are unique features and asymetry. Past studies have shown that palpation (feeling with the hand) alone is not effective in this area of thespine do to its increased mobility and aysmetry. It is noted that there are over 247 different possible misalignments and or combinations of misalignments. By analyzing your films correctly, you can rest assure less force and more effective results to be obtained.

We take a series of 5 specific films to give us multiple angles needed to obtained the correct vectored force. Certain circumstances may require we take extra films to analyze the stability of your neck. Some of these circumstances may include Down's Syndrome, Reumatoid arthritis, Motor vehicle crash, certain degenerative conditions, etc.

The radiographs above show before (pre) and after (post) correction. If you look at the yellow lines running up and down you can see in the left picture they are angled. This specific film creates a "kink" at the brainstem region. You can see in the right film the "kink" has been corrected and the yellow lines resemble "crosshairs" or orthoganality. This position of the head on the neck is biomechanically and neurologically stable, resulting in health!

You may also notice a bunch of yellow numbers on the left side of the film. We are able quantify the subluxationand run these numbers through a geometrical equation to obtain the proper line of correction (vector) as well as knowing weather to increase or decrease speed and/or include torque or no torque.
